SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle collision Tuesday morning closed two left lanes on U.S. Highway 50 near Sacramento's Newton Booth neighborhood, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The accident took place on the eastbound lanes of the highway near the merge to Capital City Freeway and California Highway 99. It was first reported by TTWN at 8:50 a.m.
Morning commuters were advised of a traffic backup stretching back to Interstate 5.
By 9:10 a.m., the scene was reported cleared with all lanes reopened, though delays remained.
