Crash blocks lane on I-80 near Sacramento's Metro Center

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle collision Friday evening blocked the center lane on Interstate 80 near the Metro Center neighborhood in north Sacramento, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The crash happened on the westbound lanes of I-80 before the merge to Interstate 5/California Highway 99. It was first reported by TTWN at 4:55 p.m.

Evening commuters were warned of delays stretching back to Northgate Boulevard.
