SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle crash late Thursday morning blocked two lanes on U.S. Highway 50 near east Sacramento's Elmhurst neighborhood, according to TTWN Sacramento.
The accident took place on the eastbound lanes before 59th Street and was first reported at 11:45 a.m.

Motorists were initially warned of delays impacting traffic back to 34th Street, but by 11:50 a.m., the backup extended down to the Capital City Freeway.
