Collision closes lane on US-50 WB near Elmhurst in east Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon blocked a center lane on U.S. Highway 50 near east Sacramento's Elmhurst neighborhood, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The accident took place on the westbound lanes of the highway after 65th Street and was first reported by TTWN shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Traffic jams had already impacted the area due to two earlier collisions. Motorists were warned of long delays stretched three exits back to Bradshaw Road.

By 4:20 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
