SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A two-vehicle collision was reported late Friday afternoon near the Linda Manor area in Rio Linda, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at the intersection of West Elkhorn Boulevard and Blacktop Road. It was first reported by CHP at around 4:36 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but authorities said a black Nissan Altima sustained major fender damage in a collision with another vehicle. At least one of the vehicles was reported facing the wrong way in the eastbound lanes, but it was unclear whether its driver had been driving the wrong way.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m., part of Elkhorn Boulevard was shut down as crews worked to clear debris from the roadway.
No serious injuries were reported in the incident.
