CHP responds to hit-and-run crash on 16th St near Rio Linda

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A hit-and-run collision was reported Wednesday evening in Rio Linda's Pelfrey Acres area, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on the northbound lanes of 16th Street near the G Street intersection. It was first reported by CHP shortly before 7:00 p.m.

According to authorities, one vehicle broadsided a white Nissan Versa at a stop sign and immediately fled the scene.

At least one person was initially reported injured in the event, but CHP has since updated their traffic incident report to reflect no injuries.

A tow truck was required at the scene, suggesting significant damage to the Nissan.

No information has been released on the suspect vehicle at this time.
