Child pedestrian critically injured after hit-and-run crash in Roseville

ROSEVILLE, CA -- A child was critically injured late Tuesday evening after being struck by a car that fled the scene in the Westpark neighborhood of Roseville, according to FOX 40.

Police responded to the incident near the Hayden Parkway and Blue Oaks Boulevard intersection. A witness at the scene said the crash happened in front of the Siena Apartments.

No further information on the child's condition has been disclosed.

Officers were later able to identify the at-fault driver, who later cooperated with investigators. The driver is not currently suspected of impairment.

An investigation remains in progress.
