Bicyclist hit, injured by vehicle on Fair Oaks Blvd in Carmichael

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- One person was hurt Tuesday evening when they were hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle near Carmichael Park, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Fair Oaks Boulevard just south of Grant Avenue. It was first reported by CHP at 5:00 p.m.

Details are limited, but fire crews at the scene said the cyclist suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. It was not immediately clear whether they were transported to a hospital.

CHP has not released information on any arrests or pending charges at this time.
