Ambulance requested after two-car crash near east Sacramento

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- An ambulance has been requested after a collision involving two vehicles near the Arden Manor Recreation and Park District in Arden-Arcade, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Watt Avenue and Hyde Way near at around 1:42 p.m.

Little information has been reported on the circumstances around the crash at this time, but an Audi A5 and a Honda Civic were involved.

Crews with Sacramento Fire were the first to respond the the scene and assisted in relocating the scene, which was initially blocking a left northbound lane on Watt Avenue, to the intersection of Watt Avenue and El Ricon Way.

An ambulance was en route to the scene and a tow truck arrived at 1:57 p.m., suggesting a significant accident.

No additional information has been reported at this time on the number of people injured on the extent of their injuries.

At 2:05 p.m., CHP officers reported the roadway cleared.
