Ambulance requested after car crashes into pole near Carmichael

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- At least one person was injured Friday evening when a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole near the Palm Drive Estates area in Carmichael, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene at 2844 California Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but an ambulance was dispatched to the scene for possible injuries to one female victim.

A tow truck was also requested to remove the involved vehicle, which sustained major fender damage.

Crews with both Sacramento Fire and Sacramento Municipality Utility District worked to inspect the pole, which was still standing but received damage to the base area.
