Ambulance dispatched to crash near Gibbons Estates in Carmichael

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- An ambulance was requested Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near the Gibbons Estates neighborhood in north Carmichael, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Cypress Avenue and Garfield Avenue shortly before 12:51 p.m.

It is unclear what led up to the incident, but it involved a silver Toyota Highlander and a red Ford Echo Sport.

CHP officers and Sacramento Fire crews arrived on the scene, and an ambulance was en route for possible injuries to the reporting party.

A tow truck was also called to clear the wreck blocking northbound lanes on Garfield Ave between Cypress Avenue and Gibbons Drive.
