Ambulance called after two-car crash on I-80 near North Highlands

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A two-vehicle accident was reported Monday evening on Interstate 80 near North Highlands, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on the I-80 westbound offramp to the southbound lanes of Capital City Freeway (SR-51). It was first reported by CHP at 6:23 p.m.

It is unclear what led up to the accident, but it involved a white Honda Pilot and one other undisclosed vehicle.

The vehicles were blocking the right hand shoulder of the ramp.

An ambulance was en route to the scene, but CHP has not confirmed any significant injuries.
