Ambulance called after motorcycle crash on SR-99 in NE Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- CHP responded to a single-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon involving a motorcycle on California Highway 99 in northeast Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on the ramp connecting Elkhorn Boulevard, or Greenback Lane, to SR-99 northbound. It was first reported by CHP at 4:35 p.m.

Details are limited, but a preliminary investigation suggests a person on a Harley Davidson motorcycle road off the roadway and up onto a hill, causing the bike to overturn onto its side.

An ambulance was required at the scene, indicating likely injuries to the rider.

A tow truck was also called to transport the rolled motorcycle.
