Ambulance called after collision on Winding Way in east Fair Oaks

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A single-vehicle rollover crash was reported Thursday afternoon near the Rockbridge Creek neighborhood in east Fair Oaks, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of Winding Way just east of Illinois Avenue. It was first reported by CHP at 4:00 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but a Jeep flipped onto its roof in the roadway, blocking a westbound lane.

Despite earlier reports of a possible injury, CHP later updated their incident report to indicate no significant injuries.

By 4:15 p.m., Winding Way between Winding Woods Way and Illinois Avenue was closed to traffic.
