SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle collision Thursday afternoon closed three lanes on U.S. Highway 50 near Sacramento's Alhambra Triangle, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The crash took place on the westbound lanes of the highway before Stockton Boulevard. It was first reported by TTWN at 2:00 p.m.
Three lanes remained blocked for nearly an hour, creating a traffic backup stretching back one exit to 65th Street.
By 2:50 p.m., one lane had reopened, but the buildup had already extended three exits back to Watt Avenue.
