Accident closes lane on US-50 near Sacramento's Elmhurst area

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon blocked a center lane on U.S. Highway 50 near the Elmhurst neighborhood in east Sacramento, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The collision occurred on the westbound lanes of the highway west of 59th Street. It was first reported by TTWN at 3:20 p.m.

Motorists were told to expect stop-and-go traffic stretching one exit back to 65th Street.
