Accident blocks lane on US-50 EB near Rancho Cordova

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A vehicle crash Thursday morning closed a left lane on U.S. Highway 50 near Rancho Cordova's Sunrise Countryside area, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of the highway approaching Mather Field Road. It was first reported by TTWN at 5:40 a.m.

Morning commuters were warned of a traffic backup stretched one exit back to Bradshaw Road.
