Accident blocks lane on I-5 in downtown Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA - Drivers in downtown Sacramento were faced with delays resulting from an early-morning crash on I-5 today.

According to Total Traffic Sacramento, the crash took place at about 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near the exit to J Street.

The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time. However, significant delays were reported on the freeway going back to Richards Boulevard.
