SACRAMENTO, CA - Six people, including a 1-year-old baby were hurt after a four-vehicle collision in Fair Oaks on Friday night.
According to KCRA, a 37-year-old driver in a Tesla started a serious crash in the 4300 block of Hazel Avenue off Winding Way. The driver was under the influence when they rear-ended a Hyundai which then crashed into a concrete wall.
The Tesla then crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Toyota head-on. A fourth vehicle then rear-ended the Toyota.
The Hyundai driver, a 30-year-old Sacramento resident suffered moderate injuries. The 34-year-old driver of the Toyota, from Sacramento, sustained major injuries. Three occupants in the fourth car were injured including a 28-year-old from Rancho Cordova, a 30-year-old, and a 1-year-old.
The Tesla driver suffered major injuries and was arrested for DUI.
The incident remains under investigation.
