5 injured, 2 critically, in crash on US 50 crash near Cameron Park

CAMERON PARK, CA – Five people are injured after a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 50 near Cameron Park on Saturday night.

All five of the vehicle's occupants were injured, KCRA reports. A 19-year-old and 1-year-old received critical injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

One female passenger was life-flighted to Sacramento’s UC Davis Medical Center. A 3-year-old toddler was injured in the crash, as was the adult male driver.

Alcohol may have contributed to the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigations are ongoing
