MODESTO, CA - Three lives were lost when a sedan with five occupants collided with a semi at an intersection in Modesto on Feb. 1st.

According to FOX40, a 20-year-old driver, Dearin Koeur, was speeding and ran two red lights when his sedan collided with the semi at the intersection of Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue.

A 15-year-old who was sitting in the front passenger seat and a 17-year-old passenger who was in the back seat were both pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old back seat passenger was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Koer and another 16-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash. The driver of the semi, as well as two other drivers that were hit by the sedan, were all uninjured.

Koeur is charged with vehicular manslaughter and child endangerment. A police dashcam and home-surveillance camera caught parts of the incident on camera where Koeur can be seen speeding and running two red lights.
