NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA - Two people were injured after they were in a car crash in a residential area north of Sacramento early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. in a North Highlands neighborhood near Elkhorn Boulevard, reports KCRA. Two people in a vehicle crashed into a home and the impact caused a fire to start.
They were removed from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The fire was contained to a single room of the house. No people in the home were injured but a pet bird died.
