2 dead, 2 injured on SR160 just S of Threemile Slough

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA - Two people are dead and two more are injured after a multiple-vehicle crash on SR160, south of Rio Vista, according to KCRA3.

The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 just south of where the state route bridges Threemile Slough.

A Nissan failed to remain in one lane and crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic where it struck a Toyota in the side, causing it to spin. Shortly after the crash a GMC crashed into the passenger side of the Nissan, killing both people in the vehicle. The driver of the Toyota and the driver of the GMC were transported to local hospitals and treated for minor injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is still unclear, but authorities believe that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
