16-year-old girl on life support after hit-and-run in Galt

GALT, CA - A teenager was hospitalized with major injuries after being struck by a driver in Galt on Monday night.

According to the Sacramento Bee, the 16-year-old was out walking her dog on Ayers Lane near Trellis Lane just before 11 p.m. A driver struck the girl and fled the scene.

First responders found the victim "bleeding from the head". She is currently on life support at a trauma center.

Police do not have a suspect or vehicle description at this time.
