14-year-old struck, critically injured by SUV outside of South Sac school

SACRAMENTO, CA - A 14-year-old student was hit and injured by an SUV in south Sacramento on Friday reports KCRA.

The teen was struck by a driver at Brittany Park Drive and Caymus Drive near Maeola Beitzel Elementary School. They were rushed to an area hospital and reported to be in critical condition.

Whether the driver stayed on the scene and what led up to the crash is not yet known.

The 14-year-old is a student of the Elk Grove Unified School District.
